Bard Music Festival Program 4 - White Nights-Dark Mornings: Creativity, Depression, and Addiction
08.14.11 | 10:00am Olin Hall, Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY This year’s Bard Music Festival seeks to unravel key enigmatic and paradoxical aspects of Sibelius’s life, music, and influence. It will explore the full range of Sibelius’s work, his Scandinavian predecessors and contemporaries, his colleagues in Europe and North America. The 2011 Bard Music Festival seeks to expose the full range and depth of Sibelius’s achievement and place in history.
On this program, Teresa will perform Sibelius's erotic and dreamlike melodrama "Nights of Jealousy", as well as songs by Wilhelm Peterson Berger, a Swedish nationalistic composer and contemporary of Sibelius.
